The Stilettos Are On the Other Foot

This weekend it is my turn to be in my client's shoes.

I met my friend, Amy, when I photographed her at Hotel ZaZa (check out that shoot and one of the many girls is her). Three years later, Amy is an excellent photographer with an incredible eye. We joked around about me redoing her pictures and her doing mine. Well, the joking turned into making plans. The plan is this weekend. Like days away. Like really soon. Like I want to back out.

How ironic is that? The boudoir photographer is freaking out about doing her own pictures?

I am an open and social girl. I feel comfortable in my own skin. I am confidant and at ease with my body. I am passionate and love the beauty in other women. I am not jealous nor do I compare myself with other women (ok, usually I don't). I usually like what I see in the mirror, even if I may fluctuate in weight season by season. I like me. I love me. God gave me my curves. All good.

Here is my confession:

I am scared out of my mind.

No, really

So this is how I will solve this. I will talk to me like I am talking to a client.

I have not lost my holiday weight, I can't do this!! First off, it's all good. Angles baby, all about angles. I know how to work them. Also, you don't have to stand in front of the camera nude silly girl. Cover up what you don't like. I will help you. I have photographed hundreds of girls. I've got this.
I am 38 years old, my skin isn't what it used to be! Ugh. Maybe I am too old. Kandi my dear, I have seen women of all ages through my lens. I have noticed that the older the girl, the more confidence she has once she is in the room. You also have to trust your makeup artist. They are magicians I tell you. That being said, those laugh lines are what make you who you are today. You are lovely. You are. You've got this.
I am thick in the middle, a little paranoid about that. "My butt is huge" "I have cellulite" "my boobs are too small" "I have stretch marks" I hear this so much. Women are sooo self critical. I wish they saw themselves through my eyes. They are rockstars. We will work together to make you look your best. We've got this.
OMG!! What to wear?!?! Do not stress about this. Get a great pair of sexy shoes, maybe some cute undies, and anything else that you feel gorgeous in. Look at my blog for inspiration. But I do have to say, one of the best client "outfit" was her diamond necklace. When I asked her what she had to wear, she held up her necklace and said "This". LOVED that. Sheets were our friend. It rocked. Also, don't stress about the jewelry. He isn't looking at that anyway unless it is a special gift from him. Don't stress. It is more about the eyes, the look.
I don't want everyone seeing the pictures! I completely respect your privacy. I have photographed so many women that did not want on my blog. As much as I would love to share their pictures, I can't. We don't want Grandpa to see them, or that weird guy you went to middle school with. I get that. Totally. I will only share what you want. Face only, body only with no face, or not at all. Wait until you see the pictures to decide. Talk with your husband about his comfort level.
I CAN NOT do that sexy look. As my friends! Oh yes you can. One of my clients years ago gave me a great tip. I will help you. And have you SEEN your smile? A smile can be sexy too. Trust me. Laughing pictures are my fave. You've got this.
So really, do you think I can do this? HELL YES! You've got this!!

So, here I go. I have to do this for my clients, to show them that it is ok. I am not perfect, I have weight to lose, I have wrinkles and cellulite. My husband loves my body, so I will too. Amy will work her magic....and not only that...but I will have a cheering station of friends. They may see all of my business, but that is ok. I have seen theirs too. Hehe.

Wow! What a weekend!
We had a constant flow of fabulous women arriving! They were greeted by Jessica who assisted them with their clothing choices from beginning to end. Soon they were whisked into Mickey's makeup chair to become even more beautiful! She glammed up their hair and gave them that extra boost of confidence they needed! If that wasn't enough, we had Summer making certain they had mimosas, wine, and snacks! I had my rockin' two assistants, Amy and Hailey, to be my helping hand during the long two days! Last but not least, we were surrounded by the beauty that is Ryan Manor. Chris was an excellent (yet mainly absent for obvious reasons) host!

Love: Part 1

This is just the beginning...but I had to share.

My husband and I were getting ready to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary and I wanted to find a gift that would remind him how much I love him and really wow him. I stumbled on your site and thought about it for about a half an hour and decided to give you a call. I was nervous and worried and unsure of what to expect or if I would even really be able to follow through with the idea. I was immediately put at ease after talking to you on the phone. I decided to book the session and throw caution to the wind. About a day later, the reality of what I had just signed on for set in and I remembered that I am a mother of two (at that time they were 2 and 5) who very much had a "Mommy's body". I am incredibly self conscious about the belly my two c-sections have left me with and I'm not exctly the world's most committed exercise buff. Did I mention I had 3 weeks before the session? Certainly not enough time to get "smokin' hot" without my hubby wondering what I was up to. I took my most trusted girlfriend with me to select a couple of outfits for the photos. I knew I wanted to do something with my husband's uniform too so I tricked him in to thinking I was doing something with the girls that we had talked about before. I nervously arrived at the hotel (I had mine done during an Unwrapped Party) and faked being confident. I opted to do my own hair, but your spectacular make-up assistants made me look glamourous. You did such a tremendous job of making me feel like I was just hanging out with one of my best friends that I was incredibly comfortable and having so much fun that I was a little sad when the whole thing was over. I left the hotel and got in my car and drove to meet my husband and daughter's for dinner. I told him the make up was from a mini-make over a friend of mine and I had done at lunch that day for fun. I have never felt more empowered, beautiful and desireable until that day. It was one of the single greatest experiences of my life and I tell each of my girlfriends that every woman in the world needs to do it for themselves. It is such a huge confidence builder. I was literally on cloud 9. Then.I.got.the.pictures. WOW. I kept looking at them and wondering if it was really me - they were so beautiful. I couldn't wait to give them to Roger and see his reaction. When he opened the pictures, he got this sheepish, surprised smile and just looked at me in shock and amazement. He was so happy and shocked that I had done something like that. He loves the pictures and keeps them on his iPhone, computer and the book is on his nightstand next to our bed. But, more important, and probably more surprising, than that even is how much I love the pictures and how proud i am of them. I would do it again in a heart beat and definitely recommend every one of my friends have them taken too. I'm not sure I can ever thank you enough for giving me a glimpse of how my husband sees me.

Smokin' Hot S

I, as usual, have been busy shooting boudoir photos. That being said, not many girls are ok with being featured on my blog. I completely understand this, I am not certain if I will be ready to be featured when my time comes. ;)

Then came S. A lovely friend gave S my name. Lovely friend showed up at shoot. My other dear (and talented) friend, Mickey , was also there turning S into a bombshell (which is hard to imagine, S is already a hottie). We drank wine. It was 10am. Yup, good start to a day.

S was a little shy in the beginning but oh so charming! A southern girl at heart...big hair, loves good food, and loves a pretty home. Swoon. Needless to say, she is my new friend and we will get together soon. Hehe. I adore her. I also know I will adore her two little boys and her husband.

Did I mention that her husband was a fireman? Hubba.

3Day Fundraiser Boudoir Party....Part One

Meet L! She and I worked together to put together a boudoir party to help her fund raise for her Breast Cancer 3Day Walk! You know me and my love for saving the boobies, so I was thrilled when she contacted me about doing some boudoir photos. When I found out that she was a fellow 3Day walker, we HAD to turn this into a fundraiser. :)

L and I have become friends over the past couple of months since she 1st contacted me. I love her spirit and her attitude! She is one special lady with some really good legs! ;) That training is working on you L! I adore you, and I know your husband LOVED the images. How could he NOT?

One of my fave pictures is this one. The crazy girls were dancing around in their undies making her laugh. I love laughing pictures. Something about them makes me smile.

Time to Update!

It has been far too long since I have updated my blog! I have been so busy and realized that I am miserably failing in updating this sexy little blog. ;)

Meet T! She was such a beauty to work with...although nervous at first, it didn't take long for her to come out of her shell. She has the most stunning eyes. Almost cat-like. Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous!!

A came back for more after her 1st session! She is looking HOT! I could tell she has been working hard on that body of hers. Yowza. Way to go A. ;) You know I love you.

Now get THIS. This is A's mom. How cool is that? J was so fun, and I loved that she brought a Scrabble game. It is kind of a little inside joke that she had to include in the shoot. Hehe.

Here is K, a friend of J's. She is such a doll. Completely comfortable in her own skin and head over heels in love with her man. She was so inspiring....really.

I have been crazy busy with so many boudoir sessions lately but unable to post them due to the request of my clients and their privacy. ;-) And I totally understand.

I finally have a few that have allowed me to post their sessions and I am sooo excited to share these with you. So keep checking back as I add to the blog with the fabulous ladies I have been able to work with!

I am starting with E. She was part of a fabulous group of ladies that I met with at the AWESOME Belmont Hotel in Dallas. I can not say enough good things about the accommodating staff and management at The Belmont. I was blown away by their hospitality!

Meet New Momma "A"

Recently I met with "A" at her home help her with her V-Day gift for her husband. She had her sister there to get some photos as well (hopefully those will be posted soon. Waiting on approval from her lovely sister). I was thrilled to meet her and her oh so adorable baby boy. She had a great friend there to help with her son so she could get her sexy on. Hehe. In between though, I got some snuggle time in with that cute little bundle of joy. He was such a little flirt. I even captured a couple photos of him as a surpise to his mommy.

So, here are some sneaks of "A". Her eyes are to die for, don't you agree? I think her husband will be very happy. :)

Peek-a-Boo Sneaks!

We had a blast Peek-a-boo weekend at Miss Molly's in Ft. Worth! Polly was the best hostess and welcomed so many stunning girls into the place. We had Mickey with her mad hair and makeup skills, we had so many wonderful assistants that kept the wine and snacks going. But most importantly, we had DFW's most beautiful ladies walking out of the hotel with a ton of confidence. I mean, seriously, this was a FAB group of women.

Although not all of the sneaks were ready (and some smokin' images you will never see due to the privacy of a few of the girls), I couldn't resist sharing what I had so far. Check back soon for more goodies!

Those Lips

I was envious, that is all I can say. Hehe!

Those EYES! Such a gorgeous girl. She reminds me of Jill Goodacre and Harry Connick Jr.'s daughter when she grows up. So beautiful.

Peek-A-Boo-What to Expect!

So this past week I met two lovely women at Miss Molly's for some test shots for the up and coming Peek-a-Boo event.

A huge thank you to Mickey of Face 2 Face for her killer hair and makeup. She will be the one who will make the women beautiful on Saturday and Sunday (contact Mickey if you would like for her to make you gorgeous for Monday's sessions!).

Also, a thank you to Polly at Miss Molly's. She let us rearrange Miss Josie's Room (the former Madam's private room) and was so welcoming to us. Love her.

A while back, I met up with a group of friends at Hotel Nylo. These ladies were HOT, crazy fun, and oh so cool. We even got some sexy maternity shots thrown in for one hot momma to be.

Seriously, these gals were a blast. I seriously could have hung out with them all day long. And those bodies....sigh. Time for me to hit the gym. Hehe.

A Sneak to Yet Another B-Party!

I told ya I have been busy!

This is one of four girls that I photographed from this boudoir party.
Meet "S". She opened up her oh so beautiful home for this party. It was a rainy and dark day, but she stayed positive (despite having to control her naturally curly hair in that humidity!). While I photographed the other gals, "S" had a chic flick playing in the media room with appetizers and mimosas! Even before her mad hostess skills, I loved her and her family. I have seen her children grow through my lens, and I have seen her go from "no, I could never do boudoir pictures" to HOSTING a party. So very cool!

And "S", you are beautiful and have a rockin' body. No matter what you think. To be almost 40 and still have a booty like that? Yowza! I would have taken that booty in my twenties!

Thanks "S" again for letting us into your home. You are beyond special!

Another B-Party!

This party was pretty cool, I have known T for some time now. She has become a dear friend and client. She was also part of the 1st boudoir party I ever did years ago. She is so very cool and has the best clothes and shoes ever (not to mention adorable little boys!).

T brought her two friends, one of whom is "M", a friend since college and a breast cancer survivor. What a super cool fun woman who knew how to rock her curls! I loved her hair. Then there was "S" who came with some sexy lingerie and red hot lips! She is a mom of baby twins! She was all about the confidence. I loved it!
Thanks ladies for being so much fun! By the way, remember to POINT the remote at the air conditioner. Hehe.

Meet T. Or shall I say "Hot-T" haha. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. She and her sis met me at Nylo for a full session with me. I loved these girls. It makes me smile when they are so nervous at the beginning of a session and by the end they have so much confidence! I love my job.

T was so very pretty...and there are some images I would LOVE to share, but they are meant just for her and her hubby. ;-)

As many of you know, I am walking in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3Day this year with Jackie and many other fabulous women that make up Team TaTaRazzi! Although I have already raised $1290, I still have $1010 left to go. If I do not raise this, I will not be able to walk. Many events are taking place this month to help me raise the funds!

No Go Perform Your Monthly Breast Exam
Performing a regular breast self-exam will help you know the normal look and feel of your breast. Self breast exams will also help you notice any changes in your breasts.For the most part, breast changes or lumps are not breast cancer. When breast cancer is found early, you have more breast cancer treatment choices and a better chance of recovery.

What am I looking for when I do a breast self-exam?

When you perform a breast self exam you should look for a hard lump or knot in or near the breast or in your underarm or a change in the way your breasts looks or feels.

Some other changes to look for are:

dimpling, puckering, or ridges of the skin on the breast

a nipple that is pushed inward rather than sticking out

redness, warmth, swelling, or painitchy, scaly sore or rash on the nipplenipple discharge other than breast milk

change in color, shape, size, or texture of a breast

Once Upon A Time There were Four Moms

who decided to get babysitters and have a date night with their husbands and friends. Before the date night could swing in high gear, the girls ditched their husbands for a few hours. They got dolled up early, popped the champagne cork early, and put on their sexiest pieces of lingerie for an AWESOME boudoir party that started before noon! What a start to a fun weekend.
There was a pillow fight, drinks for all, music playing, and laughter that filled the halls of Nylo Plano. These girls were smokin' hot, confident, crazy fun, and every photographer's dream.

This past weekend Jackie and I shot N's wedding. But months before the wedding N and I spent a day together shooting bridals and her boudoirs! But I have not been able to share her gorgeous photos because they were a surprise to her hubby on their wedding day!

Partie Deux: Behind the Scenes

Sadly, there are not many behind the scenes pictures. Unlike the original Unwrapped, Jackie and I worked in separate rooms the entire time. :( Also, we had much more work and a lot less play for this event! It was crazy insane...ask anyone who was there! I also don't have images of a couple other assistants or the 3 makeup artists, simply because we just didn't really get around to it. I was lucky to get a bathroom break. Haha.

So, what you get are some pictures that we were able to get with whatever camera was around.

On the final night we had our spouses come to the room for a date night. Although by the time they got there, we were dead on our feet. We were tired, goofy, and out of our mind. That's what happens when you have wine for lunch and dinner. ;)

Love Notes from Clients

I had always been interested in boudoir pictures for myself and for my husband, but was nervous to go about making the appointment. The way you advertised the session for Christmas could not have been more perfect . . . for me at least. It put me so much more at ease knowing that everyone there was in the same boat I was. Even though I didn't know anybody else I just felt so much more comfortable.

Sooo, I made the appointment and then felt all kinds of giddy excited for the coming months. It was a surprise for my husband, so I kept it to myself. But, for me part of the excitement was to imagine what to wear, then to shop for it, then imagine how the pictures would turn out, and imagine how surprised my husband was going to be. All of those thoughts rushed through my mind from the day I made the appointment in September until the picture day in November! I had an idea of what I might wear, but confirmed my choices after an email was sent out with ideas and I got some ideas from the few pictures that were on Kandice's blog. One of the things that helped me was to have a few pictures to see on the blog ahead of time, that way it gave me somewhat of an idea of what to expect - instead of wondering how naked I need to expect to be. :)

I enjoyed all the pampering I had done for myself ahead of time and then showed up in plenty of time to have my make-up done. Yvonne applied my make-up and did a fantastic job. The assistants were nice and friendly and had everything very organized. Then, picture time - wow! I was more excited than nervous and even though I didn't know anyone I felt so at ease right away. Something about the whole set-up I just felt like a model and it was such an ego boost. One thing I enjoyed was that you showed a few pictures as they were being taken - it was pretty cool to have an idea of what they looked like as we were moving along.

The book itself left me speechless - and my husband too. We both liked how classy everything turned out. I mean - my husband can see me naked any day, but the way you captured the poses are just unbelievable. I placed the book in a box, wrapped it and put it in another wrapped box. It took him a minute to figure out what it was and that it was his wife. The look on his face was just what I had imagined - priceless. He was very appreciative and couldn't believe what I had done for him - said it was the best gift he has ever received. I think the only way I can top it is to have kiddos. :) Not sure if you've heard comments like this before, but it makes me laugh whenever he says it - he calls it his wife porn - the kind you can look at and not get in trouble. haha

There are no words to put here that will justify what I want to say to you or two. It was an amazing experience and I felt beautiful (it's hard to say that when you are a mother of a 2 year old). You two made me comfortable in my not so perfect skin and thank you to the both of you for taking your time to do something like this. You have no idea the feeling I had inside that day. I woke up feeling like puking all over the house only to get there and see that I had worked myself up for nothing! I had a wonderful time and thanks for doing what you do and being who you are. And it wasn't weird calm b/c I walked into a Principal's office and I know I'm about to be in serious trouble, but rather that grandmotherly calm that envelopes you when she embraces you, like when you're feeling sick and all you need is for momma to rub your back just the right way kinda calm.

Times: Jan 16: 11:00am through 4:30 pm (last session at 4:30pm) with sessions every 30 minutes.
Jan 17: 9:00 am through 4:30 pm (last session at 4:30pm) with sessions every 30 minutes.
Total Price: $325.00
What your session includes:
Use of our 2,000 square foot luxury suite.
Wine and food prior to and following your sessions (Mimosas in the morning).
45 minute makeup application by one of our three amazing MAC certified makeup artists.
A meeting with our amazing stylist, Jessica, to review the clothing you’ve brought and select your final outfits.
30 minutes of photography with Kandice and Jackie.
2 clothing selections during your sessions.
A CD of 20 images from your session in high resolution jpg format.
A leather covered accordion album with 12 hand mounted 4×6 professional grade prints from your sessions.

What do I have to plan for?
We are having everyone arrive approximately 1.5 hours prior to their event, to allow time for makeup, a meeting with our stylist and some time to enjoy a glass (or two!) of wine. When you book your session, Kandice will let you know if your session requires more or less than the estimated 1.5 hours prior to your session. Please remember this 1.5 hour cushion and plan accordingly for your session. If you arrive late, your makeup or photo session length may be directly affected by the delay

How do I book?
We are recommending that the full session fee be paid in advance if possible. This will ensure that everything for your session is taken care of ahead of time and that you have nothing further to worry about prior to your session. If you are unable to pay the entire session fee, you may book your session time with a deposit equal to 1/2 of the session fee (approx $162.50). Once this fee has been received, your session time will be held for you. The remaining $162.50 payment is due approximately 2 weeks prior to the event. All session payments and deposits are non-refundable with no exceptions.

How can I pay?
Payments are accepted by paypal or check. Paypal payments must include paypal fees in your payment. If you pay $325, your paypal fee is $11.00. If you pay $162.50, your paypal fee is $5.50 with each payment.

Clothing:
We recommend bringing basics. Simple is always best. A cute bra and panty set. some great heels. a few pieces of jewelry (we love pearls!), maybe a lingerie set, and an unstarched men's shirt. That will get your through your entire session! You can also think about something Rocker. :) AC/DC tanks and cute panties would be totally cool.

One More Announcement of Sorts..

I have had so many people tell me that "next time" they will do the Unwrapped.

I have to let you in on something...not to be a smart ass or to try to build up what is going on right now.

But there will not be another Unwrapped that we know of. MAYBE in November, but seriously we are not sure.

We LOVED part one...and Partie Deaux is because of Valentine's Day and the lovely women on our waiting list. But Unwrapped is so much work. Not a "HEY! Let's do another!". It is planned. And each girl booking is someone special. Not just an "Unwrapped Partie Deux Girl". We developed a special bond with each girl from the Christmas shoot. With each girl, found their own little quirk that made them THEM. Their own sexy thing. We can't do this monthly.... at all. Our families would not allow it at all. They missed us when we were working so hard to make the first one happen.

So Unwrapped Part Deux MAY be the final.

That being said, prepare to wait at least 11 months to over a year for part 3. IF it happens with us as a team since as individuals we are busy photographers.

Again, this isn't us trying to sell you on Partie Deux. It is reality. It is us getting so many talented people in one place at one time (photogs, assistants, makeup masters, etc). This is hard to do and I will ONLY work with certain people. Haha!

A Love Note

I have not blogged in a long time. Unlike my super fantastic partner in crime (Jackie) who is the queen of multi tasking, I am sadly not that girl. I had to absorb the experience of NYLO, and then get right to work. Because I do have other clients waiting on me to edit THEIR images and I am sure they are tired of hearing about the NYLO. Haha. So I have worked nonstop it seems.

Every hour has been worth it. And I still have at least 6 hours of NYLO editing ahead of me.

(hang with me, this will be wordy! I have weeks worth of talking to do!! Also, for you English teachers...don't judge me. I type from my heart to my head and edit very little-you know who you are!!)

Jackie has blogged (because she rocks like that) about the experience. So go check her out. Although I am NOT that chubby...ok. Maybe I am. Grrr.

Before my love notes, I want to share with you a little peak inside my head and my feelings about everything.

I LOVE boudoir photography. I love instantly developing that friendship with my clients because they have no choice but to trust me. Just like a hair stylist...you get that peak inside their lives. And what I simply adore is that these girls are real. They are fiances planning a book for their wedding day, they are newlyweds wanting to remember what they looked like before children, they are pregnant women who may feel bloated but I see such beauty in them (ugh, choking up), they are women who have JUST had babies but still know they have that "thing" that makes them hot, they are tired moms of toddlers who want to show their husbands and themselves that they can still rock it, they are women with older children who are just feeling comfortable in their skin, they are skinny and full, they are many different colors and styles, they have real breasts and fake breasts, they have stretch marks and beautiful eyes, they are everything I love about being a woman. They are all simply stunning. I LOVE it. I love them.

Jackie and I worked hard day and night planning, overcoming obstacles (even to the end). We stressed, we were in awe at the response we got, we became the best of friends. I never in my life would have imagined doing something on this scale. Maybe to some it wasn't huge...but it was our life for months. It was working day and night. It was choosing the best people to work with our crazy selves, it was putting in that extra 6-8 hours a week to just plan (little did we know that we would be putting in 50 hour work weeks after!) and do the paperwork and return emails. Man, it was tiring. It was insane.

In the end, we had successfully pulled this off, and we made so many women to feel smokin' hot, and we didn't have many big issues. We had fun, we slept little, and used the hotel gym shower at 5 in the morning so that we didn't mess up the makeup/waiting room. Haha. Good times.

And after all was said and done, and everyone had left...Jackie and I waited for our husbands to show up at the hotel for date night. Well deserved date night. We looked at each other...and it was so emotional. We did it. Man, I tried so hard not to do the ugly cry. I may have...Jackie will let you know that. I probably didn't because the awesome Calaye had just done our makeup! But we hit our high for the day. MAN!!!!

So...here it goes:

To the brave girls who booked a session:
Thank you. Not only for booking with us, but for trusting us. Jackie and I have edited together via instant message photo sharing, and we have bragged and oohed and awed over each of you. I love how everyone of you was so different and so beautiful. EVERY.ONE.OF.YOU. Each of you ladies have a quality that makes you YOU. And when you see you images...you will see that. There may even be a couple that YOU don't like...but don't let yourself be the judge. An example....I can not stand my nose. I see it in pictures and just tear myself apart. BUT, people I love just see ME and who I am....and love it. Then you will see images that will make you ask (as many women do after viewing their images) "is that me?". Yes...it is you. The hot you. The beautiful you. AGHH. I love you women. So much. You all rock my socks. And thank you for letting me dance around and sing while photographing you. I become a dork when in the zone!!

P.S. You didn't drink enough wine, we had wayyy to much left. tisk tisk! And the food, I will not let you NOT eat next time. I should have been an Italian grandmother. Haha.

Fun. Stunning. Talented. Future lunch date. HOT. That is you. You have no idea how I love you. You are beyond talented, and so freaking cool. I have a little crush. Haha. Seriously. You are just so sweet and real. I feel like I have known you longer than I have. Jackie and I will never use anyone but you and people you recommend. You are perfect. AND made our job easier...because you and Yvonne brought out the beautiful in everyone...including the photogs. ;)

What a team. What a freakin team!!! We rock together. We soo fill each other's voids. I love having a business partner that I can shop with, have a drink with, dance with, edit with, talk business with, have play dates with, and cry with. I miss you so much. Since NYLO we have worked nonstop, and this won't be our last time. You are so talented and inspiring. I love you and your work. I love your friendship. I love our jokes and silliness. MIA This Weekend!

The UNWRAPPED event if FINALLY here. The lovely and awesome Jackie Reitz and myself are in prep mode for tomorrow and Saturday's BIG event!

So needless to say, I will not be returning any emails or phone calls this weekend. I will work on Tuesday and half of Monday, then I am taking the rest of the week off to be with my family.

I met with A this morning, along with her totally rockin' mom (who was a big help in the shoot). Between A's cascade of thick hair, the bluest eyes and beautiful skin; she was easy to photograph.

I met R while shooting a wedding for her stunning cousin. And I have to say....wow. There are some GORGEOUS girls in that family. Not like a little cute, but like hot hot girls. Even better? They are nice and fun and witty and good hearted ladies.

Needless to say that this shoot was a blast. R came in from Arkansas to have these taken, how cool! So her lovely cousin offered her apartment as the backdrop for these images.

Oh, and R had these taken as a gift to give her husband on her wedding day. I have waited a long time to post these because I didn't want to give away the secret. But they tied the knot this weekend and I have been given the ok to share.

Oh, and a little birdie told me that her new husband loved the book that she made out of the images. Yeah!!!!

J asked me to her home for some B-pics for her wedding day gift to her hubby. Although we had never met and only talked on the phone a few times, we were like two old friends. It was such a fun session!
Now that she is married and her darling husband has seen the photos, I am now able to share a few more modest ones! ;)
